Luther's work is commonly associated with the proclamation of salvation by grace through faith alone in Christ Jesus, the only mediator between God and each person. The implications of the biblical study on grace and justification led to the protest against the scandal of the sale of indulgences.
Martin Lloyd-Jones' concern was the same as that of the Wittenberg Reformer: authority for the Christian. Many churches were more concerned with finding elements of compromise in favour of an ecumenism of convenience, rather than boldly proclaiming the fundamentals of biblical truth.
This booklet contains his memorable concluding address to a congregation of over 2,500 people at the British Evangelical Council Conference in London to commemorate the 450th anniversary of Martin Luther's 95 Theses.
