The New Millennium Version (NMV) is a completely new translation of the entire Bible based on the original Greek and Hebrew texts. The aim from the beginning was to produce a standard version for study, teaching, preaching and liturgy, a translation that is accurate, elegant and easy to understand. An additional goal was also for the translation to become a basic text that could be used for Bible translations into other Iranian regional languages. Overall, the NMV is comparable to the ESV, although it is not a translation of the ESV.
